I am the activities director in my ward...
I had to twist my dad's arm to help me out...
In order for this fish fry to work...he had to do A LOT of fishing. He hated every minute of it (wink wink).
First, my great dad caught all the fish.
Then, he filleted all the fish.
Next, he bagged and froze all of them.
Then he hauled them all up to Tetonia in 3 coolers.
Then rinsed, dried, dipped in flour, then seasoned, then dipped in egg and half & half mixer, followed by a bread crumb mixture that had to be finely crunched to the perfect sized crumbs...
(this is no small task...are you getting what I'm getting at?)
Note: the girls crunching the bread crumbs...
(aren't all bread crumbs, crumbs?)
Also note my dad's festive shirt.
To go with our theme, we had a real live fish pond.
But we didn't have fishing poles, no bait here...
Only kids and hands.
It was so hilariously funny and entertaining. This is Indee trying to work up the courage. Some kids got after it. Others were not so brave.
Indee finally got one...she's putting it in the sack to take home.
Haddi had one but as soon as it moved, I got her reaction on camera and she screamed and let it go...
This one's not getting away.
