Can you say Side Effects?
Side Effect #1 Numbness and Tingling Check! I feel like pins and needles and poking me in the face and sometimes my hands or my leg will go numb.
Side Effect #2 Fatigue Ummm...I wish! I was up at 5:30 this morning. My steriods keep me up until I take my sleeping pill at night and up early in the morning. Not feeling this one.
Side Effect #3 Taste Change Oh this is a sad day. I love my Mountain Dew. I love my Mountain Dew. No really, I love my Mountain Dew with my lunch. I crave it and watch the clock. I don't let myself have more than one a day and when the clock strikes 12, I get my glass and fill it with crushed ice and get my one can out of the pantry and pour it in my glass. Oh it is so good. Well Saturday, it didn't taste good and I was sure it was just a fluke. Then on Sunday it tasted horrible...oh it is a sad, sad day.
Side Effect #4 Weight Loss OK...Again with the Steroids weight gain is a negative side effect so let's cross our fingers...
Side Effect #5 Difficulty with concentration/attention and difficulty with memory "Has anyone seen my checkbook? Did I take my pill or not? What was I talking about? I don't think I should be driving." Yesterday I stop to buy some material and it was minke. I get out to my car and lay it on my seat and think to myself "geez, that's messy, why didn't they give me a bag? MAYBE BECAUSE I DIDN'T PAY FOR IT!!!!" "AHHHH!!!!" One more side effect that wasn't on the 'official' list, is clumsiness. I'm walking down my stairs on Sunday morning all dressed up ready for church and step off the side of my stairs and those of you who know my stairs, know how they drop off on the last three steps, well, I just fall right on my knees like a clutz right in front of my BIL and SIL and tried not to cry so all I could do was laugh but my knees tell a different story.

Racing Day, It's Racing Day...
The girls went up to Targhee for winter sports again this year. They switched the minimum grade level for snowboarding to 4th grade, so Haddi was all over that. So she passed her skis down to Indee and she and Sis shared the snowboard and it worked out good. On the last day, they set up flags and race down the hill by twos. Well this was Indee's first time racing and she got beat down the hill by the girl going at the same time. So Chad and the girls got their stuff and didn't stick around for the awards ceremony, so imagine our surprise when we found out that Indee won 3rd place. Apparently, her opponent missed some flags and got DQ-ed.
On a side note: Haddi had a great time sledding with Uncle Val, and a not so great time sledding with Uncle Val. She surprisingly managed to score 10 points at her bkb game wearing that thing but somehow couldn't play her piano pieces, hmmmm.
